The Fastest Way to Find Diamonds in Minecraft Bedrock Edition! (100% Guaranteed)
Finding diamonds in Minecraft can be very challenging, especially if you're just getting started, however, once you know where and how to mine effectively, you will find plenty of diamonds in no time.
So, in this blog, I will show you simple yet effective ways to find diamonds quickly and easily in Minecraft!
This works on both Bedrock Edition and Java.
The most important steps.
A lot of people often skip this step however, it's very important. You need to take advantage of the daytime and gather as many resources as possible.
- Gather food, mostly steak from cows.
- Wood, at least 64 logs.
- Raw iron to smelt into ingots.
Craft as many iron pickaxes as possible, at least 3. Because you will be doing a lot of mining.
Way 1: Exploring Deep Caves
The easiest way to find diamonds is to explore deep caves. In the new Minecraft 1.17 update above, the caves now generate a lot deeper, and large caves can contain diamonds.
Advantages:
- Easy way to find diamonds fast.
- This is a faster way to get deep underground, in case you want to go mining later.
Disadvantages:
- These caves usually contain a lot of monsters.
- Some caves contain more diamonds than others.
Tips:
1) Make sure you have good armour and a shield.
Beginner friendly:
- leader helmet.
- iron chest plate.
- leader leggings.
- iron boots.
OR
- Full iron if possible.
2) Always upgrade the chest plate and boots first before the other armour pieces, because they provide the most protection.
3) Place lots of torches in the area to prevent mobs from spawning.
Way 2: Stip Mine at level -59.
The best level to mine is -59. Make sure you turn on your coordinates for this one because, with this method, you'll just keep finding diamonds to the point it becomes addictive.
When you reach y level -59, begin strip mining. Strip mines in Minecraft are long passageways with multiple branches that are 2 blocks apart. They are usually 2 blocks tall and look like this:
You can recreate these, since this is one of the most effective ways to find diamonds super quickly, speaking based on experience, of course.
Make you keep the branches 2 blocks apart since you would've already seen what is on the other side.
Advantages:
- Allows you to cover more ground,
- You will find a lot of diamonds more efficiently.
Disadvantages:
- Can be Time-consuming
Tips:
1) You need a lot of pick axes, you may want to consider enchanting them in the future with:
- Mining
- Unbreaking
- looting, etc
2) This can be calming, turn on some music or livestream your progress to take your mind off the time.
Way 3: One-Block Mining.
One-block mining is the best way to mine in Minecraft! This is the same as strip mining but one block wide, instead of 2 blocks.
This way is better because it will allow you to preserve the durability of your pickaxe and cover more ground faster.
How to One-Block Mine in Minecraft Bedrock Edition!
Dig a one-block tunnel a couple of blocks ahead, place the water, double tap on both up arrows on your controls, and once you're in the swimming position, go forward into the tunnel. To stop, just dig downwards one block deep and you should be able to stand again.

Advantages:
- Preserves pickaxes' durability.
- Cover more ground faster than regular strip mining.
Disadvantages:
- Risk of suffocating in the game, if not done correctly.
Way 4 - Three-block-wide strip mines
This way is more effective than all the other ways because it allows you to see one more block above you (9 block square), so you don't miss any diamonds up above.
I honestly prefer this method, but it can be very time-consuming, so I would rather do regular strip mining and save this method for when I get a better pickaxe like diamonds or netherite and better enchantments like efficiency II.
Advantages
- You see at least one block higher.
- Possibly find all the potential diamonds you've been missing.
Disadvantages:
- This is time-consuming If using an iron pickaxe.
Tips:
You may need to enchant a diamond or netherite pickaxe with Efficiency II for that one.
Way 5 - Tnt mining
TNT mining can work, but it can be very dangerous. TNT is powerful! Some players would do this since strip mining can be time-consuming.
However, It is better to do this if you are speedrunning or need diamonds extremely quickly because this is very risky.
You basically light a TNT with flint and steal between diamond levels -50 to -61, and back away as far back as possible. You have the potential to clear the ground and find diamonds.
Advantages
- Ability to mine faster and cover more ground.
- Great for speedrunning.
Disadvantages:
- Risk of dying in the game.
- Risk of blowing up the diamonds
Minecraft Mining Tips!
1. Be patient, methods like strip mining can take a while.
I know strip mining is a really fast way but it still will take time if you're just getting started in your world. However, as time goes on, you'll have so many diamonds. This is worth it! I can tell you that.
2. Always go mining with lots of food, good armour, wood and pickaxes.
Always prepare! Take advantage of the 10 minutes of daytime and gather your resources.
3. Take a shovel, there might be gravel to dig through.
I never thought a shovel was needed underground until I discovered gravel...ðŸ«
4. Always dig from a small distance in case there's gravel up ahead.
Always mine at a 1 block distance, in case there's gravel or even lava up ahead.
5. Sometimes diamonds can be hiding behind gravel.
When you stumble upon gravel, dig around it! You may see a surprise 😮
Or maybe not-- well it depends.
6. Try all mining methods to see what works best for you.
If one method you are trying is not giving the results you want, try a different one!
