How to Make Automatic Lights in Survival Minecraft! (Step by Step, with pictures)

How to make Automatic Lights in Survival Minecraft! (1.21+)

Most real-life houses have automatic lights, also known as motion sensors or WI-FI Lights outdoors. Whenever you get close to them, they will turn on.

Did you know that you can rebuild these in Survival Minecraft? Well thanks to the new edition of sculk sensors, you can!

So, in this blog, I will show you a step-by-step tutorial on how to Build Automatic Lights in Survival Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Now, let's begin!

Step 1 - Gathering your materials

First, you will need a sculk sensor and tool with the silk touch enchantment. A hoe breaks sculk sensors the fastest. So I will recommend you use a diamond or netherite hoe.

However, It's best to enchant the tool that you use the most, because this is pretty expensive in Survival. Now you have a reason to craft a diamond hoe 😁

How to get the silk touch enchantment

You can obtain Silk Touch by fishing OR Trading with a librarian villager; when you obtain the Silk Touch book, then place the tool in an anvil to enchant it.

Now you have your silk touch tool, it's time to gather the other materials needed for this build. The items you will need for this build are:

  • Sculk sensor
  • Water bucket
  • Redstone lamp

The amount of those specific items depends on how many lights you want.

There are two ways to build this (upside down and upright) the way depends on what you're building it for.

Way 1

Place the sculk sensor above the redstone lamp. Then, surround the sculk sensor with blocks and place some water on the Sculk Sensor to keep it silent.

Way 2

Place the sculk sensor and surround it with blocks, then place some water on it and place the redstone lamp above. You can place it in the ground, too.

This will activate the light when you go near. As you see with this build, there is a lot of customization once you know how to make these.

I am so excited to see what you all build using this; if you want, you can tag us on Instagram, and let's see your builds! :D

You can let us know how it turned out in the comment section of this blog. Or if you have any questions, feel free to ask as well.
